The Local Development Deposit Plan has identified a need for 6,800 new homes to be constructed between 2017 & 2033 (425 a year) including 2,000 affordable homes

This growth will be distributed across the Plan area in accordance with a whole County (Spatial) strategy, which promotes sustainable development and includes a Hierarchy, which classifies towns and villages according to the levels of services and facilities located within them.

The Deposit Plan has taken in to account key features for future homes including: adaptable homes for an ageing population, space standards to support well-being objectives and to provide sufficient space for recycling as well as focusing on developing rural as well as urban communities to enable growth of rural communities, but we know this isn't everything that's important to you.

Use this space to have a say on how Wokingham Borough Council can best tackle the housing demand. Which locations do you think should be the main focus? Is 6,800 homes enough? What other aspects of new homes do you think is important to cater for the next generation. Share with us your thoughts no matter how obscure and help inform the next stage of the development plan.
